Wear due to age and use. YNGVE EKSTRÖM. Yngve Ekström föddes (1913-1988) i Hagafors i Småland, där Sveriges äldsta möbelfabrik fanns. Hans pappa dog tidigt och redan som 13-åring började Yngve arbeta på fabriken.

2021-02-19 · Beautiful bar chair by Yngve Ekström from the 1950s, the so-called 'Pinocchio' chair. The wood has the recognisable green colour. The chair is solid and in good condition. The wood does show signs of wear, corresponding to its age and use. At the back you see that a small slit originated in the wood. This does however not influence the firmness of the chair. Yngve Ekström (1913-1988) was an architect, woodworker, and furniture designer from Hagafors, Småland, in Southern Sweden. At the age of thirteen, following the death of his father, Ekström began working in the country’s oldest furniture factory, Hagafors Chair Factory.
